Call for Workshops, Symposia and Related Meetings
Workshops
Midwest Fish & Wildlife participants interested in holding a workshop at the conference must complete the workshop request form (PDF or Word Document) and send to Kevin Frailey at Michigan DNR - fraileyk@michigan.gov by June 1, 2015. Workshops are typically scheduled for Sunday of the conference (January 24). Workshop submissions will be reviewed for conference relevance but space is limited.
Related Meetings
Midwest Fish & Wildlife participants interested in holding a committee or Board meeting in conjunction with the conference must complete the associated meeting request form (PDF or Word Document) and send to Caitlin Gaborow at Delaney Meeting & Event Management - caitlin@delaneymeetingevent.com by January 1, 2016 or you will not be listed in the final printed program. Space is limited.
Symposia
To submit a symposia proposal, send an abstract in the format listed below by June 1, 2015. In addition to strictly fisheries or wildlife topics, entertained symposium topics will include joint fisheries and wildlife sessions, public engagement sessions, and topical (e.g., community, species, environmental/system specific) sessions.

Format for Symposia Proposals:
When submitting your abstract, please include the following:
  1. Title - brief but descriptive
  2. Abstract - in 250 words or less, describe the topic as well as the objectives of the proposed symposium
  3. Suggested speakers or anticipated length of the symposium (e.g., ½ day, 1 day, 2 day)
  4. If you are interested in accepting 20 minute oral presentations through our regular call for presentations
  5. If you anticipate holding a keynote presentation and/or panel discussion as part of the sympsoium
Please submit your symposium proposals by email to Gary Roloff (roloff@anr.msu.edu) and Travis Brenden (brenden@anr.msu.edu). Questions regarding potential symposia can also be emailed to Gary and Travis.

If accepted, symposia submitters will be required to collect abstracts and coordinate speakers and content for the sessions. All presenters will need to register and pay for the conference.
