Call for Symposia
Interested in submitting a symposia idea for the 75th Midwest Fish & Wildlife Conference? Send an abstract in the format listed below by June 13, 2014 to the symposia chair. If accepted, symposia submitters will be required to collect abstracts and coordinate speakers and content for the sessions, and will also be able to accept talks for their symposia through our regular call for presentations. All presenters will need to register and pay for the conference. Deadlines will be as follows:
June 13, 2014 Symposia abstracts due to symposia chair
June 30, 2014 Notice of acceptance of symposia
July 14, 2014 Regular Call for Presentations opens
October 24, 2014 Abstract submission deadline
November 15, 2014 Notification of acceptance
December 1, 2014 Accepted presenters must register or their session will be cancelled and removed from the program.

Format for Symposia:
When submitting your abstract, include the following:
  1. Symposium title: Brief but descriptive
  2. Sponsors: If applicable, indicate sponsorship. Please note that a sponsor is not required.
  3. Organizer(s): Provide name, affiliation, telephone number, and e-mail address of each organizer. The first name entered will be the main contact person.
  4. Chairs: Supply name(s) of individual(s) who will chair the symposium.
  5. Description: In 250 words or less, describe the topic addressed by the proposed symposium, the objective of the symposium.
  6. Audiovisual requirements: LCD projectors and laptops will be available in every room. Other audiovisual equipment needed for the symposium will be considered, but computer projection is strongly encouraged. Please list special AV requirements.
  7. Special seating requests: Standard rooms will be arranged theatre-style. Please indicate special seating requests (for example, ďafter the break, a panel discussion with seating for 10 panel members will be neededĒ).
All presenters MUST register and pay the appropriate conference registration fee by December 1, 2014. Advanced registration is strongly recommended. Registration information will posted on the conference website in the fall of 2014.
