Registration is open for the 75th Midwest Fish & Wildlife Conference - Natural Resource Management in an Increasingly Connected World. We hope you'll join us, February 8-11, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, Indiana. The annual conference attracts over 800 biologists and students from state, federal and tribal natural resource agencies across the 13 Midwestern states. Highlights include: over 400 technical talks, poster displays, plenary sessions, networking opportunities and social events.

Review the preliminary schedule, then register to attend by December 19 to take advantage of early-bird pricing! Accepted presentations and their abstracts will be posted by early December; please check back for updates.

Call for Presentations - Now Closed!
Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract. We received an overwhelming response! The Program Committee will be reviewing all abstract submissions and will be emailing notifications by the end of November.
Requesting an Associated Meeting
Midwest fish & wildlife committees, working groups, universities, organizations, agencies, and others interested in holding a meeting or social function in association with the conference, should complete the Request for Associated Meeting Form (deadline: Dec. 1, 2014).

Janice Lee Fenske Memorial Award for Outstanding Students
We are pleased to accept applications for the Janice Lee Fenske Memorial Award from fisheries and wildlife undergraduate and graduate students who are planning to attend the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference.

Up to 25 students will be selected and formally recognized for their achievements during the Student/Mentor Social on Monday afternoon of the conference. Two students, one majoring in fisheries management and one majoring in wildlife management, will be presented with a Fenske Memorial Award that includes a scholarship of $500. The winners will be selected based on the characteristics that made Jan Fenske a remarkable fisheries biologist. To apply, please submit:
  • A resume that includes your GPA.
  • One letter of recommendation submitted directly from either an academic advisor or professional in fisheries or wildlife management.
  • A one-page cover letter that discusses future career goals and reasons for attending the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference.

The deadline for submission is December 12, 2014 and applicants will be notified of their selection by January 5, 2015.
