Call for Symposia

We are pleased to announce that the Call for Organized Symposia is now open and we invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to be a part of the scientific framework of the meeting by submitting a proposal.

An Organized Symposium is a set of presentations organized around a particular theme.  We encourage symposium submissions that will be of broad interest, as well as focus on engaging design, approaches, and/or formats. These sessions could include panel discussions, interactive approaches, and non-traditional engagement strategies, or non-traditional attendee types.

All individual presentations within a symposium will be submitted via the Call for Abstracts (which will open in mid-August.) Symposium organizers will build their session agenda from these submitted abstracts, some of which may be invited.
Symposium organizers will be responsible for reminding invited speakers to submit their abstracts, reviewing abstracts submitted to their symposium, and organizing moderators for their symposium.

If you have an innovative idea on a timely subject that would appeal to fish and wildlife professionals from across the midwestern states, now is your opportunity to submit your proposal for consideration.

DEADLINE: MIDNIGHT (CT) ON JULY 31, 2026.

Responsibilities of Symposium Organizers

Organizers are responsible for coordinating with the Program Committee, planning their session, reminding invited speakers to submit their abstracts submitted to their symposium, and organizing moderators for their symposium.

MWFWC does not pay registration fees, travel expenses, or honoraria for symposium organizers or presenters; and everyone must register for the conference.
